Alba Marzi

Alba (Conti) Marzi, 94, widow of Jerome (Jerry) Marzi, of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Jerome Home. Alba was born February 2, 1916 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to the late Cesare and Nocilde (Agostinucci) Conti. Alba and Jerry were married October 17, 1942 in Montreal and moved to New Britain.

Alba loved watching her six grandsons grow up and attending their events. She very much enjoyed annual trips with her husband and sons to visit her large family in Montreal. And she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing cards, doing word puzzles and reading.

Alba will be dearly missed and is survived by, her two sons: Ronald Marzi and his wife Patricia of New Britain and Daniel Marzi and his wife Jacqueline of E. Hampton, her six dear grandsons; Michael Marzi and his wife, Michelle of Boston, Massachusetts, Adam Marzi and his wife Sara of New Britain, David Marzi and his wife Jennifer of Vernon, Mark Marzi and his wife Barbara of New Britain, Todd Marzi of New Britain, and Brian Marzi and his wife Jessica of Stow, Ohio. and her two precious great grandchildren: Addison and Jorden. She is also survived by a brother, Joe Conti of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and many nieces and nephews. Alba was predeceased by three brothers; Steve, Danny and Lou Conti and two sisters; Norma Gray and Louise Conti.

Funeral services will begin Monday, December 6, 2010 at 9:00 am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00 am in St. Maurice Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held, Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
