Cecilia Crespo Medina

Cecilia Crespo-Medina, 81, of New Britain, Connecticut passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and hospice nurse. She was born in Isabella, Puerto Rico on August 15, 1939 to the late Juan Crespo and Bernarlda Medina. She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Elida Mendez, Santa Crespo, Eulalia Cuevas; two brothers, Ruben & Gabriel Crespo.

Her legacy survivors are four children, Carmen Roell (Chris Roell), Noemi Alvarado, Judith Alvarado, and Virgilio Alvarado; eight grandchildren, Cesar Ramos, Jr., Jacqueline Sueann Ramos, Rachel Cordova, Emily Reillo, Ashley Vega, Jahaira Vega, Johanaly Vega and Edwin Alvarado; thirteen great grandchildren, Cesar Jayden Ramos, Nicholas Gannon, Emily Elizabeth Gannon, Miley Leann McLemore, Bella Analise McLemore, Charles Kelley, Jr., Justice Cashon Kelley, Aamir King Henry, Natisha Vega, Analia Velez, Jandel Lebron, Elijah Alvarado and Jasonni Alvarado.

Cecilia raised four children as a single parent and worked for the State of Connecticut while saving to build her home in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico where she lived and raised her children. She then worked for the next 25 years as a sewing machine operator. Her passions in life were family, gardening, cooking, and taking care of others.
