David was born June 26, 1953 in Fitchburg,MA and was the son to the late Arthur and Estelle (Guilmette) Goguen. There was almost nothing David couldn’t do; he worked many places, including Viking Aluminum, Stanley Works, Morande Ford, YMCA of Middletown and Pinnacle Development Group.
After marriage, David and Jeanette made their home in the town of Cromwell where they enjoyed being surrounded by the country setting. David was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with family and later in life with his two grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and took pride in his display of various flowers. He enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts and also enjoyed taking his daughters to Native American Festivals. He was able to relax by watching the birds feed from his favorite spot in the living room. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends and family. David was the type of man that always made himself available to anyone in need, whether it be auto mechanic to plumbing to any type of maintenance work.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by, his wife Jeanette and his two loving daughters, Michelle Nadeau and Erica Goguen and her fiancé Jason Helbig, his two precious grandchildren whom he adored Cora and Brody Nadeau. He is also survived by his sisters: Suzanne Cahill of Fl. and Karen Landry and husband William of MA., his brothers: Bruce Goguen of NH. and Leonard Goguen of MA. and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Jessica Clement, the entire oncology and radiology staff, and the nurses on the oncology sixth floor at UCONN as well as CT Hospice Care in Branford for the care and compassion they extended to David. We are forever grateful to all of them.
