Dorothy Malachowski Sullivan

Dorothy M. (Malachowski) Sullivan, 78, beloved wife of Robert W. Sullivan for 33 yrs, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Rurak) Malachowski. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; in addition to her husband, Robert, she will also be dearly missed by her seven children: son Donald Esmail of New Britain, daughter Sharon Cantale and husband Ronald of Bristol, son George Esmail of New Britain, daughter Carol Robinson and husband James of New Britain, daughter Gail Cimadon and husband Michael of Bristol, son John Kumitis of New Britain and son David Kumitis and wife Jessica of Plainville; as well as her brother Carl Malachowski and wife Jeanette of Naples, FL, her sister Barbara Lucas and husband Andrew of New Britain, her brother Richard Malachowski and wife Ann of Homosassa, FL; 13 cherished grandchildren: Brian Cantale and wife Leslie, Sarah Gonzalez and husband Javier, Matthew King, Jonathan and Ryan Esmail, John Kumitis, Joey, Kristin, Morgan, Lindsay and Nick Cimadon, Kimberly and Kyle Kumitis, 3 precious great grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa, and Franciso Gonzalez Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Lottie Lozinski and her brother Joseph Malachowski both of New Britain.

Funeral services will begin Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:00am, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Visitation hours will be held Monday evening 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
