Grandchildren are Michelle Bennett, Shawn Burgos, Lawrence Pacyna Jr. and Jesse Pacyna, her eight precious great grandchildren and one great, great, grandchild. She was predeceased by two grandchildren: Wendy and Joey, three brothers; Raymond, James, Donald and a sister Frances Paradis. Betty also leaves two brothers; George Kilby, Richard Kilby and his wife Ann, a sister Lorraine Thibodeau and many nieces and nephews.
Betty always gave her life to the needy and volunteered with St. Lucian’s Home, the Senior Complex, Red Cross, Visiting Nurses and the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor. She was president of the Daughters of Isabella and 1010 Club-affiliated with St. Jerome's Church where she volunteered with the Women’s group at the St. Jerome "980 home" and "Baskets for the Hungry".
Betty worked in the New Britain School System where her love for children was always her top priority. She was a Mom to so many children along with being a dedicated wife, grandmother, sister, true friend, aunt, daughter and niece. Because of her dedication in volunteering and her heart for children, Betty won ‘Mother of the Year’ in the state of CT. After her career with the New Britain school system, Betty decided to continue working with children and opened her own business under ‘Betty’s Daycare’ where she provided loads of love and care. She will be truly missed and has left a godly impression to all that knew her. Her beliefs were always to give to the poor, love one another and do what you can for other people. Mom, we will love you and miss you so much and we thank you for showing us how to give, forgive and love with an open heart. We are so proud and honored that you were our Mom and thank God every day for it. We know that you are in heaven playing ‘Mother Angel’ and taking care of all the little angels like you always did. You will always be with us in our hearts. We will always love you!
