Janusz A Slemp

Janusz Slemp, 60, originally of Krakow, Poland, passed peacefully at his home in Bristol, CT, surrounded by his close family and friends. Janusz was a loving person who treasured the beauty of life and enjoyed spending his time with his beloved wife, daughter, and son who were the pride and joy of his life. He also enjoyed taking rides on his Harley motorcycle and vacationing with his family. After moving to the United States from Poland, Janusz worked at Monopol Inc. and most recently at EDAC technology. He was a practicing member of St. Stanislaus Church in Bristol, CT, a proud member of The Falcons Nest 88 in New Britain, CT, and he was always devoted to his Polish heritage. Janusz had the beautiful gift of bringing a smile to the face of those who surrounded him and will be dearly missed by all.

Janusz is survived by his dear wife of 30 years, Maria, and his two children, Caroline and Patryk Slemp, of Middletown, CT. He is also survived by his sister Sonia Mach of Poland, his sister and brother-in-law Bogumila and Adam Haracz of Plainville,CT, his brother and sister-in-law Krzysztof and Bozena Slemp of Bristol,CT, his cousin and cousin-in-law Mariusz and Natalia Gancarczyk of Berlin, CT and brother-in-law Mariusz Herdzina of Poland. He leaves behind nieces and nephews including, Tomasz and Joanna Mach and their children, Monika Haracz, Ewelina and David Ledas and their son Austin, Sabrina and Joanna Slemp, Victoria and Tommy Gancarczyk, and Igor and Weronika Herdzina. He was predeceased by both his mother and father Adela Slemp - Lysik and Andrzej Slemp, He was also loved by many friends that together with his family find comfort in knowing that Janusz is now at peace riding his Harley in heaven.

Calling hours will be ¬¬¬¬Friday, September 19th, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, Directions: Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 ½ miles on your right.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 20th at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.

Janusz’s family would like to thank the many healthcare professionals at Middlesex Hospital for their devotion to Janusz’s care over the past several months.
