

Born in New Britain, August 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Dumont) Fillion. She was a graduate of the Meriden Nursing School class of 1956 and enjoyed a 35 year nursing career at the Meriden – Wallingford Hospital. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, tag sales and was an avid UConn women’s basketball fan. But her true passion was traditional rug hooking and she was a long time member of the Association of Traditional Hooking Artists.
Jeannine was predeceased by her son, Thomas E. Otulak and brothers; David, Raymond and Richard Fillion. She is survived by her devoted daughters; Janice M. Otulak and Laura Ann Otulak; her brothers Robert and Ronald Fillion and wife Barbara; daughter–in–law Dawn Pinto-Otulak; former spouse Joseph Otulak and wife Naomi; step-sons; William Jr., Judd, Sean and Robert Lezotte and several cousins, nieces, nephews and host of close and dear friends. She will be especially missed by the “Thursday Group” of rug hookers at the Farmington Library.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday September 21, 2016 from 4-8pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:00am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Holy Cross Church followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
