Joseph Andrew Lehman, 90, died February 21, 2026. Joe was a first-generation American, born and raised in New Britain, CT to his Russian-immigrant parents, Andrew and Pauline (Petrylak) Lehman. In 1958, Joe graduated from the University of Connecticut, where he was a member of the Kappa Psi pharmaceutical fraternity, in Storrs. In 1960, he married his wife, Mary Ann (nee Drzymalski), who together built a home in Farmington and raised their three daughters. Joe served as a proud member of the Army Reserves and was a registered pharmacist who, after graduation, held several pharmacy and business management positions — including, at Axelrod’s Pharmacy in New Britain, Southington retailer G.E. Madison, and the Summit Corporation. Joe established the Village Pharmacy of Farmington, Inc., where he spent the majority of his career as its sole proprietor, dedicated to serving the Farmington community as its local, full-service pharmacy before the advent of, and overtaking by, pharmacy chain-store conglomerates. Joe loved jazz, was an avid tennis and golf enthusiast, and a life-long UCONN mens and womens basketball fan. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Ksiazkiewicz, Karen Lehman, and Kelley Sullivan; his sons-in-law, James Sullivan and Tom Ksiazkiewicz; his grandchildren, James Michael Sullivan III and Hope Lehman Sullivan; and scores of beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann, and sisters Irene Prigodich and Olga Glabau. Joe will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
