She was born on March 1, 1955, in Lyons, NY to the late Bruno Iwanusyk and Antoinette (Romano). She graduated from New Britain High School class of ‘74. She was employed at Pratt & Whitney for over 40 years as a jet engine mechanic. She truly was a badass and quite the pistol in such a compact package.
Linda is survived by her husband and love of her life, Gary. They were married and officially merged their families together on the 4th of July, 1985 in Wakefield, RI. Amazing memories were made camping, going to the races, taking cruises, going on vacations including traveling across the country from CT to CA on their Gold Wing Trike. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 957 where she danced her booty off or enjoyed herself by the ocean in Westbrook. Gary and Linda were snow birds and she loved her time spent in Florida.
She is also survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, granddaughters and great granddaughter, Gary & Monica Vaughn with Kristyna Smith and Kinley; Jamie & Amy Vaughan with Kaitlyn & Matthew Carmack and Liberty; and her daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren Holli Southall with Whitney and Connor; Heather Vaughan-Pignatella & Scott Pignatella with Landon and Lainey; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald; sister, Lora; and grandson, Logan Pignatella.
A service to honor and celebrate Linda's life will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM on Tuesday, March 26, at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT 06053.
May she rest in peace. #cancersucks
