Nancy S. Carbonell

Nancy Carbonell, a New Britain native, passed into the loving arms of the Lord early Monday morning, October 10, 2022. She leaves John, the love of her life and husband of 64 years, her daughters Linda Carbonell Faust, and her husband Karl, Rosalie Hyde, 2 grandchildren David Carbonell and Rachel Rose Miller, 2 great grandchildren Jorden & Lilliana Carbonell, sister Victoria Severino, brother Joseph Severino, niece Karen Severino, nephew Joe Severino, her life-long friends Mercedes & Robert Morell, Rosita Dietzel & her late John Dietzel, several cousins and many close friends.

Nancy attended New Britain schools, graduating from New Britain High School in 1957.

She was an insurance agent and worked for various companies during her career. After retirement, she worked for the Newington Senior Center helping train senior citizens how to use computers. Nancy was an active member of the Spanish American Cultural club for over 50 years and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

An avid animal lover & music aficionado, she enjoyed traveling and socializing, and could always be found on the dance floor regardless of the function.

Those who knew Nancy well, knew her beautiful, joyful soul. She was always smiling and singing, and loved playing cards and dominoes with her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at New Britain General Hospital, Bristol Hospital, her doctors Dr. Roy, Dr. Reyes, Dr. Manning, her aids Krisy & Pam for the compassionate care they provided during her final days with us.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain.

Funeral will be on Friday, October 14th starting at 9:00 am at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Church in Newington. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.
