

Roger was born in St. Guy, Quebec, Canada, and moved to New Britain, Connecticut, with his family on July 22, 1966, at the age of 18. He completed his early schooling in Canada and later attended E.C. Goodwin Technical School in New Britain, where he studied blueprint reading as part of his trade. From 1966 to 1970, Roger served an apprenticeship in tool and die making at Sirois Tool under the guidance of his uncle, Robert Sirois.
Born to Bertin and Adrienne (Dumont) Sirois, Roger lived a life grounded in hard work, family, and deep cultural pride. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his twin brothers, Roland and Fernand.
Roger is survived by his daughters, Michelle Sirois and Suzan Sirois-Riesbeck, and his son-in-law, Christopher Riesbeck, all of Plainville. He also leaves behind his beloved grandson, Nathan Sirois, who brought tremendous joy to his life. Roger is additionally survived by his sister, Thérèse, and her husband, Viateur Dubé of Rivière-Du-Loup, Canada; his brothers André and wife Pierrette of Farmington; and Claude, Richard, and Gratien of New Britain; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He was respectfully known as Dad or Pops to many.
A dedicated businessman, Roger and his brother André proudly owned and operated Sirois Bros. Co. & Bell Adam Steel Stamp for 33 years. His commitment to his trade and community left a meaningful and lasting impact on all who knew him.
Roger was an active member of several cultural and fraternal organizations. He joined the St. Jean Baptiste Society in 1966, where he served in numerous leadership roles and held the position of President from 1984 to 1986. He remained a member for more than 50 years, until society closed in 2023. Roger was also involved with The French Model Club, the French Business Association, and the Franco-American community, reflecting his deep respect for his heritage and the lifelong friendships he cultivated.
Roger enjoyed many simple pleasures, including nature walks in the park, hunting, fishing, camping and fiddlehead picking. He also loved taking rides to the beach in his cherished 1980 Stingray Corvette.
Roger will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, loyalty, and the steadfast love he showed to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 14th at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT 06053. Calling hours will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
