Sharon Sziabowski

Sharon Elizabeth Sziabowski, 57, lifelong resident of New Britain, passed away of natural causes surrounded by her family on February 8, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. She was born on April 15, 1959, in Hartford, CT, a daughter of James Gavin Sr and the late Alice Gavin. She was a full time mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, being outdoors tending to her gardens and relaxing at the beach, as well as, cook food, make jewelry and homemade candles. Sharon is survived by her 2 sons: Jason Sziabowski and his fiancée Denise Rodriquez of New Britain, Justin Sziabowski and his wife Diana of West Hartford; 2 daughters: Nicole Sziabowski of New Britain and Valerie Sziabowski of Colorado; 2 step sons: Edward Sziabowski Jr. and his fiancée Nitza Sanchez of Avon, and Marc Sziabowski of New Britain. She will also be dearly missed by her significant other Michael Dufour; her 2 sisters: Tammy Gavin of Pennsylvania, and Christine Lopol and her husband Joseph of West Hartford; and her brother James Gavin Jr of New Britain; grandchildren: Anthony, Briana, Gian, Ian, Keely, Armani, Theodore and Isla; as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services to pay final respects for Sharon will begin on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10am, with a Prayer Service at 12:30pm, at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT.
