Theresa H. Pescosolido

Theresa (Terry) Pescosolido, 81, passed on to a better world on April 28, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband John Pescosolido. Terry and John lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but were long time residents of New Britain, Connecticut, where they continued to spend their summers.

Mrs. Pescosolido was a long time active and devoted member of the New Britain community. She served on the Boards of the New Britain General Hospital Auxiliary, the New Britain YWCA, and Community Mental Health Services. She was also a member of the Woman’s Club of New Britain, the Mr. and Mrs. Club of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, the Ladies Guild of Saint Francis and Faculty Wives of Central Connecticut State University.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, John Pescosolido II of Aiken South Carolina, Dana Pescosolido and his wife Phyllis of Baltimore, Maryland, Marc Pescosolido and Shirley Harris of Alton, Maine, Lisa Amodio and her husband Louis (Gerry) Amodio of New Britain, Connecticut, and Gary Pescosolido and his wife Joanne of New Britain, Connecticut. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren who where her pride and joy, Amanda Stallings, John Pescosolido III, Ryan Pescosolido, Justin Pescosolido, Gina Amodio, Maria Amodio, Louis Amodio III, James Pescosolido and Evan Pescosolido. Terry also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 9:00 AM the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain (directions: I-84, right off #37, 1 ½ miles on right) followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Calling hours will be Friday, April 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
