William Joseph LaBonte

William Joseph LaBonte, Sr. 93, husband of Carmella (Colapinto) LaBonte, since 1948 of New Britain, CT passed away on February 17, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT after a brief illness. William was born on February 25, 1923 in Springfield, Mass to the late parents of Irene (Jarvis) and Arthur LaBonte, Sr. William was employed by Merrow Machine, retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by one son, William LaBonte, Jr. of Bristol, CT and one daughter, Camille Sirera and her husband Angel Sirera of Kensington, CT, two sisters May Potts and Rita Arcari, three grandchildren: Monica Sirera, Stephen LaBonte and Mathew LaBonte, and two great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Tanner LaBonte, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, (Directions, exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 ½ miles on your right) followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain.
