I work with barb from the early 90's to the early 2000's I was just a teenager when I started working at meijer and she was always nice to me.

To Jimmy and Barbie's Family, Barb is a good friend that I will always hold close to my heart. It's such a great loss, but I'm thankful for the time I had with her, the smiles we shared and the Memories we made. My heart is so broken and hurts so badly, I wish there was some way I could comfort you and take away your pain. God Bless all of you.

I had the pleasure of working with Barb in the cash office at Meijer back in the 90's.  She was so patient with me and when my till wouldn't balance out at the end of the night, she patiently smiled and helped me find my mistake.  : )  Her friendly eyes and smile are what I remember most..My prayers are with her family at this time.

I remember her being the nicest woman that made my first days working at Meijer with her so much brighter.  She was so helpful and gave me a positive answer to any question I might have asked her. She gave the encouragement to be the best cashier I can be.  Thanks Barbie.  You will be missed.  God now has a bubbly angel.  Many blessings to the family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I was familiar with Barbara only as a customer at Meijer. From time to time, she checked out my order.   

I called her, "The Writer," whenever I saw her because the first time I read her name tag, "Barbara Potter," I told her that sounded like an author's name and she should write books. She liked that and now I see that she loved to read.

Months would go by that I didn't see her but everytime I was her customer, she was warm, friendly, made intelligent comments, was very competent at her job and her sense of humor was evident. 

Her lovely personality came through even to this stranger. If all of us could have such an impact on everyone we meet, just passing through this life, then it would be a better world. For me, Barbara's smile and laughter made it so. I thank her for that.

I want all of her family to know that even someone who didn't know her at all, saw her light.  I am so sorry for all of you.  Sincerely, Susan Bruhn

I am so sorry for the passing of Barb. I worked with her for a few years and i am also related to Jimmy and Wilford. Barb is a very special person, she was always so happy and upbeat. I will miss her alot. God has a very special angel with him. My thoughts are with her family.

This goes out to Lura McClure and her Family,Lura we been friend's for many year's..Even though we don't see each other on a daily base...I know we think of each other offen...I can't begin to tell you how very sorry I Am for the lost of your Sister....I believe I met her once or twice...God has taken another Beautiful Angel..where Barb will start a new life at the gates of Heaven..May you know she will no longer be in pain..For God will take real good care of her...if you need anything Please let me know...God Bless..R.I.P. Dear Jeannie and Wayne, 
I am so sorry to learn of Barbie's passing. It is not supposed to be this way, for a parent to bury their child. My prayers are with you both. It's been a long time since we have seen each other , but true friends never stop caring !
