After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Dan was drafted into the United States Army. Dan married the love of his life, Jane, in 1964. Dan loved his family, nature, and Wellsboro Pennsylvania. He was a dedicated runner and outdoorsman who could often be found in his favorite attire, a flannel shirt and Levi’s. Dan was a true Renaissance man and there was not a skill or project that he could not master. His pets brought him true joy. After retirement, Dan excelled at Sudoku, the Jumble, and WordSearch. Some of his best memories are at the Farm in Wellsboro, on any trail in the woods (Dan was always in the lead), travels with Sheila, and visiting with family in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. He was loved by so many and will be missed beyond measure.
A celebration of his life will be held privately by the family later.
