David Gardner Schultz of New City, NY passed away peacefully on Christmas Day with loved ones at his side. David was born on July 20, 1920, in Suffern, NY, to Frank Schultz and Catherine Smith. A resident of Rockland County for 95 years, he added Lewis, NY and Port St Lucie, Florida as places he called home. Forever will be missed his whistling, harmonica playing, his sense of humor and acts of kindness felt wherever he was. David proudly served our country as an aerial gunner based in China during WWII. He often spoke courageously of those he served with. He marveled us with his expertise being a master carpenter all his life. Together with his wife Ann they lived in the house he built. There they raised two sons and made a lifetime of memories.
David is survived by his sons, David and his wife Debra of Milford, NJ, and Robert and his wife Patricia of Lewis, NY; grandchildren Heather, Eric and Samantha; great grandchildren Madelyn and Cailyn; Dolores and John McDevitt of Spring Valley, NY, Marge Ovsiovitch of Port St Lucie, FL and many other loving family members. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Services will be held on Thursday, 11am, at the funeral home followed by interment at Germonds Cemetery.
