Evelyn Helen Locke, 93 years old of New City passed away peacefully on February 15th 2022.Evelyn was born on December 25th, 1928 in Union City, N.J. She was the daughter of Lena and John Johnson. She graduated from Dumont High School. She was married in 1947 in Dumont to Rodney Locke of Valley Cottage, N.Y. They were married for 65 years living in New City. Evelyn worked as a secretary in the Clarkstown School system for 27 years. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 65 years. She was an avid Mets fan and loved to do crossword puzzles and read mystery novels. She is survived by, her son Stephen and his wife Annette of Stony Point, N.Y. Grandson Brian of Pompton Lakes, N.J. Granddaughter, Danielle of Stony Point, N.Y. and one niece and three nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 from2-4pm and 7-9pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday February 22th at 10am.Interment to follow at Germonds Cemetery.
