Frank Scott Gruber passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1963 to Frank and Marie Gruber, the youngest of three children. A lifelong Rockland resident, Scott grew up in New City graduating from Clarkstown North High School in 1981. Afterwards, he pursued Art at Pratt
Institute graduating with his degree in 1985. He worked for Orange and Rockland Utility Company for over twenty years. Scott worked his way through the company and was in the Corporate Affairs department at the time of his passing.
When Scott wasn't at work he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his two children Frank and Olivia Gruber. He was an avid bowler and could be found every Wednesday night at New City Bowling Alley making people laugh as he so often did. He will be thought of when we hear the music of the Beatles, go to a NJ Devils' game, cheer on the Jets, see the color orange or one of his designs in print or on a gymnasium floor.
He is survived by his wife Noreen Gruber: their two children Frank and Olivia. His sister Jan Dyer, brother Neil Gruber(wife Mandy) as well as his three nephews Nick Dyer, Patrick Gruber (wife Jeanette), and Scott Gruber (wife Amanda). In the words of John Lennon, "We will all shine on, like the moon and stars, and sun, We will all shine on..."
A Private Cremation will take place with a Memorial Service at a later date.
