An easy smile and always quick with a joke...  As a newly assigned sergeant assigned with him at the 13th Precinct, he made the process of  "learning the ropes" so much more easier. What I admired most about Gerard was his lightheartedness.  What inspired me most, was his dedication to service and his unconditional love for his fellow man.

Please accept my sincerest and heartfelt condolences.  I am deeply saddened by his passing.  Please take solace in knowing that his dedication to service and the friendships and contacts he made, made  a very positive impact on so many lives.

I remember barbecuing, miniature golf, crabbing, fishing, and just having a ton of laughs whenever we were together. I remember one night in particular when Gerard and I went to Atlantic City and I got pulled over on the GSP for going a little too fast and Gerard spoke to the police officer and off we went with no ticket. I have always had a special relationship with Gerard and I will miss him dearly. Prayers to his family and I will always be here if you guys need anything.

I remember all the great summers our families had at Ortley beach. 
Gerard always barbecued, no one did it better than him! 
Also all the times Jillian and Gaby were together he was always concerned where they were and what they were doing. 
He was a wonderful, caring, loving  dad!

It was New Years Eve, and my friends and I decided to rock in the new year in no better place but then Times Square, New York City! Found out that my Uncle G, an NYPD officer was working in the city that night.  It was an unseasonably warmer new year’s eve night and there was a sea  of people everywhere!  But somehow, low and behold I ran into my Uncle G in Times Square...he told me to be careful and a better place to stay and where to avoid...gave me hug and wished me happy new year...then, told my aunt and mom that I was ok and that he was keeping on eye on us....Felt safer in the city knowing he was there...Rest In Peace Uncle Gérard, will always remember you and your faithfulness...#Faith  #Family #NYGiants #NYPD #NewYearsEve

We were going to Disney and Tony had to take a different flight .   We waited and waited for him.  We laughed so much when we finally saw him in the distance, the airport  was empty . Gerard was trying to keep us all together and composed but we just couldn’t.  We had lots of fun that trip.  We shared many great memories with Gerard. We had a special song we would sing. Rocky road and potato chips while watching a movie was a must . You made the best sweet potatoes. Rest In Peace Gerard, say hello to Jill for me.
