Gregoria O. Stringile

Gregoria O. Stringile of Monroe passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 7, 2011. She was 85. Gregoria was born April 15, 1925 to Frank and Consiglia (DeFilippis) Chillino in Brooklyn, NY. She has been residing in Monroe for the past 8 years and prior resided in Tuxedo Park, NY and Brooklyn, NY. Gregoria was known for her amazing cooking skills and being an avid antique collector. She was also very creative in all aspects of arts and crafts. Gregoria's love and devotion to her family will be irreplaceable. Gregoria is survived by her siblings Joseph Chillino of Port Jervis NY, Carlo Chillino of Brooklyn NY, Clara Chillino of Monroe NY, Norma Smith of Monroe NY, Louisa Cavagnol of Newburgh NY and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1981 and her siblings Dominick, Louis and Rudoph Chillino, Vincenza Bevilacque and Margaret Logatto. Friends may call Today and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Higgins Funeral 321 South Main Street New City, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be offered Monday 10am at St. Augustine's Church New City, NY. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery Middle Village NY.
