James Joseph Carlin

James married the love of his life, Virginia, in 1959 and shared 61 wonderful years together. James served in the United State Air Force and was honorably discharged after four years of service. James’ career as a writer spanned a variety of Public Relations firms. He enjoyed camping, watching football and basketball and celebrating holidays and birthdays with his loved ones. His greatest joy next to being a devoted husband and father was being a grandfather to his five grandsons.

James is predeceased by his wife, Virginia. He is survived by his daughters, Mary, Eileen (John), Kathy (Hank) and Patty (Gregg), his grandchildren Louis, Jimmy, Jack, Brian and Mason. He is also survived by his nieces, Eileen & Camy, and several grand nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 10, 2022, 9 - 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, NY at 11:30 AM.

Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
