Jean Christine Jansen

Jean Jansen of Bardonia, passed away on November 19 at the age of 87. She is survived by her daughter Christine Jansen, sisters Ruth Adamowicz and Karen Pearson, and her sister in law Ada Lemm.

She was predeceased in death by her parents- Warren and Catherine Lemm, her husband of 32 years-Robert, and her brother David. When the Lemm’s moved from Valley Cottage to a retirement community, the house that Warren had built was purchased by Jean and Bob and that was where they spent their married life. Jean was last employed at Southern Westchester BOCES as a payroll clerk. She retired in 2003, after working there for 14 years Jean had many enthusiasms over the course of her life including Egyptology, astronomy, beading, coloring, and all things supernatural. She was also a huge animal lover and the mother to many many very lucky cats over the course of her life.

She will be interred at Ferncliff Cemetery at 10:30 on Saturday, November 23.
