
John T. Duddy of New City, passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. Known as "Jack" to his friends, and "Pop," to his family, he was born in Hasting-on-Hudson, NY on September 27, 1925 to Joseph P. Duddy, Sr. and Helen Brennen Duddy, and moved to New City in 1956. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Doris C. Maund, his son, John K. Duddy, and his brother, Joseph P. Duddy, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Thomas of Mesa, AZ and Paul of Peekskill, NY, as well as 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Jack was a vice president for the County Trust Bank and The Bank of New York for over 30 years, and a parishioner at St. Augustine's RC Church for 55 years. He and Doris were members of the Clarkstown Senior Citzens' Club and took many enjoyable trips with that group. He loved to spend time in his yard and garden and enjoyed time with his wife and family and sharing stories of his years in Hastings. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family.
Visitation will be at Higgins Funeral Home in New City on Wednesday, October 26, from 2-4 and 7-9, with a memorial service at 8:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hastings Historical Society, 407 Broadway, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
