Jonathan Philip Graber

Jonathan was born in Brooklyn to Jo Ann Graber (nee Yarmolowitz) deceased and Joel Graber. He moved to Rivervale, NJ with his father in his formative years and graduated from Pascack Valley HS in 1995. He moved to Tucson, Arizona to attend college and began a life there. In 1999, he had a son Tysun, who he raised as a single parent at age 2. But Jon’s heart was always in Brooklyn, so he returned and lived there for many years. He had a son Damien in 2010 and moved to Pawling, New York, where Jon spent his last years.

Jon was a good conversationalist when he got going, and had a unique and sharp memory for odd facts, movies and one-liners. He was an avid card player, as he was good with statistics and reading players. He was an exceptional bowler and could have turned professional. For many years he successfully worked in his father’s legal service business, utilizing his NYC street smarts. Jon was a nurturing, loving parent and a funny, caring man. He will be missed. He is survived by long term partner Samara Kane, his sons Tysun and Damien, siblings Jaelyn and Jeremy, father Joel and his wife Jackie.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday December 6 at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St., New City, NY from 11:30-1:30 with a service at 12:30-1:00pm.
