Joseph A. Raho, age 87, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 with his family by his side. Joseph was born on October 1, 1925 in Naples, Italy to Gregorio and Vincenza Raho. Joseph enjoyed working as a projectionist at the Clearview Cinema 6 Theater in New City, NY. He was also a big fan of the Yankees.
Joseph is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Orlando) Raho. He is survived by his son, Gregory (Debbie) Raho; grandchildren, Gregory (Kyrstin), Heather, and Dylan; great-grandson, Joseph; and sister-in-law, Grace Dvoracek.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 25th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St., New City, NY followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine's Church, New City. Interment will follow at the Frederick W. Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
