Louise DeMasi

Louise DeMasi passed away on February 18, 2012. She was 91 years old. Louise was born in New York City on October 27, 1919 to Raphel and Jennie (Longo) Fiorillo. She has been a New City resident for 18 years, prior from Yonkers, NY. She worked an electrical system for National Defense during WWII. She also worked at Horns and Hardts Automat in the Bronx, NY. She also worked in the Republic National Bank in the Bronx, NY. She enjoyed crafts and baking. Louise was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose greatest joys came from her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Louise is survived by her sons Anthony of Yonkers, and Stephen of New City; her daughter Patricia DeSimone of Blauvelt; her sister Geraldine Roehl of CT; and her grandchildren Janet and John Shupe, Marie DiSimone, Stacey DeMasi, Joseph DeMasi, and Danielle DeMasi; and great grand daughter, Annie, who is proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in June 2008; and her grandson Anthony III in 2007. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 10am, at St. Augustine's Church, New City, NY followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
