Margaret R Vogel

Margaret R. Vogel was born in Tarrytown, NY on June 11, 1931. She passed away on May 14, 2013. Margaret moved to Germany in the 1930's and returned to settle in New York in 1973. She lived in Nanuet, NY for 30 years prior to moving to New City. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pearl River for many years. She worked in Macys in Nanuet for 20 years and retired in 1997. She also worked as a home health aide for 10 years and retired in 2009. She enjoyed knitting but her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends.

Margaret is survived by nieces, Linda Pivonka (William) of New City, Karin Diebold (Manfred) of Germany; nephews, Fredrick Vogel of NY and Robert Vogel (Mary) of Kentucky. She is also survived by great-nieces, Jennifer, Amanda, Annabella, Amelia; great-nephews, Andreas, Nicholas and Mason; as well as great-great-niece, Celina.

She is predeceased by her parents, Rose in 1987 and Wilhelm Friedrich "Fritz" in 1967 Vogel; brothers, William F. in 2000 and Adolph at the age of 10 in 1945.

Family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service will take place on Saturday at 10am at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
