

Mary Jane Griffin passed away surrounded by family and loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Shaw, and wed to the late John J. Griffin of Bayside, NY. Previously resided at 8 Patricia Drive, New City, NY.
A graduate of Mother Cabrini High School in NYC, and College of Mt. Saint Vincent, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She was a volunteer at St. Augustine’s School, New City and Albertus Magnus, Bardonia. Spent many years as a Girl Scout Leader,and continued on for many years as a Member of the RocklandCounty Girl Scout Council,where she gained many friendships that she maintained throughout life.
Mary Jane spent many years working in Macy’s on 54 th street, NYC, prior to marriage to Jack Griffin and caring for her growing family. Mary Jane and Jack loved to travel with their six children, from car to planes and ships. “Mom’s taxi”transported many baseball and soccer teams, cheer leaders,scouts,ballerinas,along with equipment including a canoe, forever on the station wagon roof, over the years.
Mary Jane is predeceased by her husband Jack Griffin and her grand-son Brian Griffin.
Mary Jane is survived by her children Jack Griffin and his wife Donna, Pat Gower and her husband Mike, Kathy Geoghegan and her husband Michael, Bobbie Moore and her husband Terry,Mary Jane Undersinger and her husband Bobby, and Terry O’Shea and her husband Denis. She was also blessed with her beautiful grandchildren John Griffin and his wife Jordana, Julia Griffin, Bobby Gower,Natalie Gower,Blaine Keogh and her husband Brian, James Geoghegan and his wife Jess, Katie Geoghegan, Zack Moore, Ryan Moore, Danny Moore, AmandaUndersinger, Christopher Undersinger, and Casey Undersinger. And her Great-Grand Children Lilly Keogh, Griffin Keogh, Dorothea Keogh, Jane Keogh and Claire Geoghegan.
A Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Parish, located at 140 Maple Ave, New City, NY 10956, on December 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. The burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 220 Brick Church Rd,Spring Valley, NY 10977, from 11:15 am to 11:45 am.
