Maureen Butler

Maureen Butler (nee Hickey) of New City, NY, 77 years old, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021. Maureen was a born on March 29, 1944 to Patrick and Mary Hickey. She graduated from Cathedral Assisium High School and married her husband, George, in 1964. They settled in New City where Maureen worked as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed travel and spending time with friends, but her greatest joys came from her family. She is survived by her husband George, sons Andrew (Ellen) and Patrick (Jill) and her daughter Jean Piscitelli (Gerry). She is also survived by her brother Peter Hickey (Una), and her four grandsons Ryan(26), Connor(23), James(19) and Thomas(17), in addition to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Friday April 23 from 3-7pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 24, 10am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, followed by interment at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
