

Michael Terribile of New City, NY passed away peacefully just three days prior to his 96th birthday. After a short time of declining health, Michael died at home surrounded by love and beautiful memories. Michael is reunited in heaven with his wife Mary, the love of his life.
Michael was born 1925 and raised in Bronx NY to first generation European immigrants who instilled his work ethics and love for family. Michael’s dedication to his country led to him enlisting in the Marines at 17 years of age. He was assigned to the Fifth Marine Division and the 28th Marine Regiment.
After the war, Michael returned home and back to his job as a salesclerk for the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. Michael was promoted to store manager and for 40 years he worked throughout A&P stores in NYC and Westchester County. Michael and Mary moved to New City in 1961 to raise their 7 children.
Michael was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Mary Terribile, his parents Michael and Vincenza Terribile; his siblings Mary Pasqualino, Vincent Terribile, Rose Raucci, and Grace Grande.
Michael is survived by his children. Michael (Debbie) Terribile, William (Angela)Terribile, Vincent Terribile (Vicki LaRosa), George (Cathie)Terribile, Thomas Terribile, Gina (Peter) Prandato, and John (Cheryl) Terribile, 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a dear friend of the family Anita Williams.
Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City on Tuesday, November 23rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, November 24th at St. Augustine’s Church in New City. Interment will follow at St Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet.
