Pat Levy

January 8, 1949 – May 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Pat Levy on May 21, 2025.

Pat was born on January 8, 1949, in Montreal, Quebec. She was the daughter of Lorraine and Charles Marcotte and twin sister to Peter Marcotte. Pat lived a life filled with warmth, purpose, and unshakable devotion to her family and community. For 47 beautiful years, she was married to her love, Les Levy, who predeceased her in 2021. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and laughter.

Pat’s passion for nurturing children blossomed into her proudest professional accomplishment—the founding of “Pat’s Playhouse”, a beloved nursery school and daycare located in New City that touched the lives of countless families. Her legacy of love and learning grew with the expansion of a second location, “Pat’s Playhouse Too” located in Nanuet, a testament to her dedication and tireless spirit.

She was the cherished mother of Michelle Levy-Phelan and Stephanie Levy, step-mother to Scott Levy and loving mother-in-law to Dan Phelan and soon-to-be son-in-law John Armstrong. Her heart overflowed with pride and joy for her two granddaughters, Norah and Emelia, who brought light and laughter to her every day. Her loyal puppy Stella will continue to be loved and cared for by the family.

Pat was everything you could hope for in a mother and grandmother—gentle, kind, fiercely loving, and endlessly supportive. Her smile could light up an entire room, and her spirit was magnetic. To know her was to love her.

A celebration of life for Pat and Lester Levy will be held on Saturday, July 19th from 1-5pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City.
