Patrick Vincent Driscoll, 73, of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully on July 9, 2018. Born in The Bronx, NY on March 14, 1945 to the late Vincent and Ethel Driscoll. Brother to the late Madeline Ryan, and Joseph and John Driscoll.
Leaves behind his greatest love Margie Viola. Daughters Barbara-Ann Lynch, Desiree Lyons and Kimberly Termine. Son-in-laws John Lynch, Thomas Lyons and Joseph Termine. Denise and Richard Roland, Michael and Patti Viola, and Jamie Viola and Kerry O’Hare.
He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, Christopher Popkave, James DeStaso, Nicholas, Anthony and Paul Termine, John Patrick Lynch, Anthony and Mikey Viola, Amanda Roland, Gabriella Gray, and Kelsey, Olivia, Caroline and Jessica Lyons, granddaughter-in-laws Christina Popkave and Natalie Rodriquez and 4 great grandchildren Emma and Chase Popkave, Connor Zachary and Isabella DeStaso.
And Skippy and Lucy.
Patrick (Pat) is a retired NYPD officer. He worked at the 42nd precinct in The Bronx and Midtown South in Manhattan. He was also a lifelong locksmith, starting his career at Veteran’s Locksmith on Kingsbridge Road in The Bronx, at his families shop, when he was a teenager. He moved his family to Rockland in 1973 and opened several shops including Veteran’s Locksmith in New City and American Locksmith in Nanuet, but he is most notably known as the familiar face at his namesake shop, Driscoll’s Lock and Key in Pearl River, where he worked for the past 21 years.
Pat loved to laugh and make people laugh. He always had a great sense of humor. Working at the shop, being with his family, and traveling to places like Ireland, anywhere with a beach, or Disney with his grandchildren, were some of his favorite things.
Visiting on Wednesday, July 11th from 7-9 pm and Thursday July 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St., New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Augustine’s Church, 140 Maple Ave, New City, NY, 10954 on July 13th at 10 am. Internment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont NY.
