69, Nanuet, New York, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2025.
Pat was born on May 15, 1956 in Manhattan to Andrew and Mary (Christy) Nolan. He grew up on East 96th Street and attended St. Francis De Sales Catholic School, Regis High School, and Fordham University.
Visitation services will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., located at 321 South Main Street, New City, NY, 10956. The visitation will take place on October 29, 2025, and October 30, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on both days.
Family and friends meant everything to Patrick. His “96th Street Gang” consisted of friends from childhood that continued into adulthood and ultimately led to him meeting the love of his life, Kathleen Quinlan. Pat & Kathleen were chosen as godparents to Erica (Wiggers) Degray and their relationship grew from there. They were married on October 10, 1987 and after a few years of treasured travels and adventures, they had three children - Caitlin, Kerrianne, and Andrew. After outgrowing their little, but filled with love and memories apartment (the apartment that Pat grew up in that his mother had rented when she immigrated from Ireland), they moved to Nanuet, NY in Rockland County. Together they built a life full of traditions, memories, and love that was occasionally primetime comedy-sitcom worthy, but the best came out of their yearly trips to Lake George.
Pat worked as a Customer Service Representative at several companies including CT, LexisNexis, and most recently CSC where he spent 20+ years and retired in April 2024. He was known for his humor and wit, and being supportive and dependable both in and out of the office.
Pat devoted much of his time to giving back to the community. He was a dedicated member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where he served as a Catechist from 1996 to 2007 teaching 2nd grade. He loved to experience their joy second-hand as they received their First Holy Communion. For the past several years, he served as an Eucharistic Minister where he also volunteered his time visiting the sick at Nyack Hospital providing the Eucharist, prayers, and comfort to those in need. Pat was also a 4th Degree Knight, Past District Deputy, and Past Grand Knight of the St. Dominic’s Council of Blauvelt, NY and a member of the Pearl River Elks Lodge and Ancient Order of Hibernians Pearl River Division #3.
Outside of work, he was a proud and hopeful, but long suffering fan of New York teams - Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers, and was happiest when he would go to Mets games with his family. He had a dream of visiting all MLB stadiums and was shy of just 4 stadiums. After his retirement, he was able to pursue a past hobby of painting. He enjoyed taking classes through the Clarkstown Parks & Rec. And if he wasn’t road tripping or painting during retirement, he was a “Professional PopPop”. He loved creating art with Hannah, playing video games with Nolan, and eating to their stomachs’ content with Kevin.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of 38 years, his children, Caitlin (Jacob) Quesnell, Kerrianne, and Andrew, his grandchildren, Hannah, Nolan and Kevin Quesnell, his favorite sister-in-law, Barbara Quinlan, his aunt, Mary Begley, and many cousins in both America and Ireland. Pat is predeceased by his parents, his parents-in-law, aunts & uncles, his brothers-in-law, and many other beloved family members and friends who welcomed him home.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 29th and Thursday, October 30th from 3pm-7pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service located at 321 S Main Street, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Parish Church on Friday, October 31st at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Rockland County

or to Birthright of Rockland County .
The family also asks that loved ones continue to share stories of Pat, and do as he did and make at least one person a day laugh or smile.
The family wishes to thank the Clarkstown Police Department and the Rockland Paramedic Services for their support.
Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
“Until we meet again. . .”
