Peter A. Carbone

He is survived by his four children: Susan Carbone, Edward Carbone and his wife Rosemarie, Peter Carbone, and Gina (Carbone) Landi and her husband John. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Gloria (Farrell) Carbone. He will be missed by his nine adoring grandchildren: Michael, Eddie, Gabriella, Arianna,Samantha, Joseph, Christopher, Nicolas and Brianna and two great granddaughters, Olivia and Vanessa.

Peter was born in Liberty, NY on May 15, 1928 to Nicolo Carbone and Crescenza Piccininni. He was one of seven children. He served in the US Navy and attended Manhattan College, where he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1952. He subsequently earned a Masters degree from Columbia University.He retired from Singer/Kearfott in 1993.Enjoyable retirement activities included learning Italian at RCC; being an active member of the New City Seniors Group and volunteering at his lifelong parish of St Augustine Roman Catholic Church. He could often be found Monday-Friday walking 4 miles around the Palisade Center up until recently.

A visitation for Peter will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. Funeral Mass Thursday 10am St. Augustine Church New City, NY. Interment to follow at Fred Loescher Veteran's Cemetery.
