It is often said that when two people have been married for so long they are entwined as one. Well this is true for Rita Trojahn, who left this earth on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Rita was recently widowed and truly missed her beloved husband, Raymond, and just wanted to be with him.
Rita Trojahn, 91 years old, was born and raised in Spring Valley, NY, on June 12, 1926. Rita married Raymond on June 20, 1942 and they just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. They had 5 children who they raised in the house they built in Nanuet, NY: Socky Trojahn of Nanuet, NY; Bellicent Hackett of Pearl River, NY; Craig Trojahn (Lynn) of Albuquerque, NM; Darrell Trojahn (deceased), and Patty Bordenkircher (Dave) of Lady Lake, FL.
Rita worked as a Laboratory Technician at Lederle Labs, where she retired in 1989. During her retirement, she relocated to Lady Lake, Florida to enjoy the sun and no snow! Rita frequently enjoyed playing and winning at Bingo! Her other hobbies included knitting and crocheting for all her family and friends.
The most important thing to Rita was her family! She had 12 grandchildren; Theresa, Cindy, Timmy, Darlene, Missy, Mandy, Francis, Antoinette, Rachel, Kayleigh, Stephen, and Lindsay. There are 13 great-grandchildren, and also 2 great, great-grandchildren. She also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She leaves behind a big family who loves her and will miss her very much!
