Sadananda Shanthan

Sadananda Shanthan of Pomona, NY, 93 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 8, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Gulabi, three daughters and sons-in-law(Suneetha and John, Sabitha and Chris, and Seema and Anthony), and son and future daughter-in-law(Sathish and Daria). He is also survived by three grandchildren (John, Jayleen, and Dahlia).His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family.

Sadananda was born in Bangalore, India on October 27, 1932. He emigrated to the United States in 1970 and married Gulabi that November 1970 in New Jersey. They lived happily with their children in New York.

A Wake will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 6-8pm at The Tappan Reformed Church located at 32 Old Tappan Road, Tappan New York 10983.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10AM at The Tappan Reformed Church located at 32 Old Tappan Road, Tappan New York 10983. Followed by the burial at the Tappan Reformed Church Cemetery.
