

William Joseph Hauser passed away peacefully on November 19, 2014. He was born on March 13, 1932 in the Bronx, NY to Frank Hauser and Alice (Hartman). He was a Rockland resident for 52 years and prior to that he lived in the Bronx. William served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He then enlisted in the Army National Guard. He was a member and past Commandant of the Marine Corps League; was a member of the Nanuet #2 Seniors and was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, NY. William was devoted to and loved his family and was an avid stamp and coin collector. He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, wife Loretta of 57 years; his daughters Donna (Armando) Alvarado, Laura (John) Gallagher and Andrea (Antoinette) Hauser. He is also survived by his grandchildren David Conklin Jr., Jack Gallagher and Connie Hauser as well as his great grandchildren Macayla and Darin Conklin. Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc, New City, NY on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Monday 10am at St. Anthony’s Parish Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marine Corps League at www.rocklandusmc.com.
