Saddened to hear of Bruce’s passing! He was exceptional man who led an exemplary life! I visited with him at Lifetime fitness about his experiences refereeing FB and BB and especially about his tutoring of Ian! 

So many great times. Farmers market..our holiday party where he always showed up 2 hours early to help set up and spike the cider..brought in Vikings playbook stuff for my son Adam in the Persian gulf .1 year bought me cooking classes at Byerlys.. came here many times with perennials from his yard..such a good friend..

I have had the privilege to work with Bruce for many years for Vikings games. Bruce will be missed tremendously by our crew. Prayers to your family.  

Bruce was a bright light and a good guy. 

With all the years I have spent in and around the public safety services. I am afraid some of the specifics of my memories may have become a little fuzzy, but I best remember Bruce as a "public safety officer" in the early days of the Eden Prairie Public Safety Department, probably in the late '70s or early '80s.  He was always cheerful and helpful to me. I was a public safety officer in Burnsville and then in Richfield around those times. 

Later I think I recall that Bruce went to Anoka County to serve as Emergency Management Director with some role also in the oversight of the Anoka County Central Communications (911) dispatch operations, which I knew pretty well through my work as 911 Director for Minneapolis. The Anoka County 911 folks were always a class act and Bruce was a solid supporter of them.

We were so shocked to hear of the passing of Bruce. We have known him for many years, but havent seen him in a while. He was a KIND SOUL!  He will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.  GOD BLESS!!!

    Bruce was my roommate for several years. Along with Ed Bearse we built a bedroom in the basement for Bruce. With three men working on the project what could go wrong?

    I got a book out of the local library on how to build a bedroom in your home. I don't think we looked at it once. However when we finished building we could not find the book. Turns out we had it behind one of the walls we built. Three men building a bedroom.  Ah but we had fun.

    One day we were watching a football game on TV. What looked to be a very typical unexciting play transpired. Bruce was on his feet yelling and screaming as he rushed the TV, "Did you see that? Did you see that?" I had to admit, "See what?" He responded." The ref was right were he was suppose to be!" Guess Bruce and I saw the game a little differently. RIP.

Celebration of Life

Surviving are his son Charles (Rochelle) Wojack; and one sister Lori Schrempp; Niece and Nephew: Andrea (Jeff) and Tony (Meghan) and Great Nieces &amp; Nephews: Ryan, Declan, Anya and Lucas; and a special friend whom he mentored: Ian.
