

Quinn, Jeanette Julia (Meyer) Age 88 of Plymouth, formerly of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 15, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, John and Millie Meyer and sister, Fern Christensen. Survived by loving husband of 64 years, John; children, Larry (Judy), Patty (Steve) Longaecker, Mernie (Rich) Perkins, Bob (Gayle), Tim; ten grandchildren, Shane (Michelle), Jude (Jana), Shannel (Greg), Mike (Jen), Emily (Carl), Zach (Stacy), Brian (Evelyn), Kevin, Justin, and Sean; thirteen great-grandchildren, Brienna, Emma, Colin, Tristan, Sarah, Caitlin, Isabella, Quinn, Hayzl, Caiden, Mitchell, Harvey and Julia; sister-in-law, Diane Quinn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and life long dear friend, Harriet Van Beusekom. Jeanette was raised on a farm in Rockford, Minnesota and moved to Minneapolis after turning 18. She met the love of her life and married John in 1949. Jeanette was a fabulous wife and mother to their five children. She worked as a school cook, hostess at Dayton's and volunteered wherever she resided. She was Chaplain of the American Legion Westphal Post Auxiliary and held many other offices. Jeanette had a passion for card playing, travel, golf and cooking. Always meticulously dressed, Jeanette loved to entertain and never missed a party! Most of all she loved spending time with John and all their family. Jeanette always thought of others before herself. Jeanette and John enjoyed their retirement years in Wisconsin and Florida before returning to Minnesota in 2004 residing at Gramercy of Plymouth. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to all those who cared for Jeanette at St. Therese of New Hope. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, November 21, 10 AM at The Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. Visitation one hour prior to Mass in the gathering space of the church.
