After retiring from Robbinsdale schools, Lee and her husband of 53 years, Lee, took road trips to all 50 states including flights to Hawaii. Most recently they went on an African Safari.
She did years of volunteer work at the Animal Humane Society although her health problems prevented her recently.
Prior to volunteering at the Humane Society, she did several years of volunteering for We Can Ride which assisted handicapped children.
Lee will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lee; son, Jack (Kari) Meyer; grandchildren, Miriah and Andrew Meyer, great-grandchild, Aurora Haering; sisters, Linda Thompson and Christa Sack; brother, Mark Gavic, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and many loving relatives and friends.
Gathering of family and friends will take place at Kapala Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm. A time of memory sharing will begin at 3:30pm.
