Age 85 of New Hope on 06/13/14. Preceded in death by wife, Lou Ann and 2 sisters. Survived by his children, Rebecca Frich, Joseph(Jean) and Jeffrey(Kara); 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; loving family and friends. Roland was retired from Burlington Northern Railroad and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed travelling and the outdoors. Visitation Monday, 5-7pm at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road. Funeral Service Tuesday, 11am at Sunset Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Minneapolis with visitation one hour prior. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the VFW.
