Anthony Joseph Broussard Jr.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Broussard passed away at 7:45 pm on Thursday January 8, 2015 at his residence.

J-Bird, as he was known, will always be remembered as someone who truly loved life to the fullest. His smile and laugh were contagious, so no one was a stranger and if he ever met one, they weren't strangers for long. A good man with a good soul, he loved his family dearly. Anthony was a proud supporter of the LSU tigers, New Orleans Saints, and Loreauville Tigers. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alfa Journey Broussard; daughters, Brenda Broussard Scott and husband Perry of New Iberia and Tammy Broussard Landry and husband Glenrey of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brooks Amy and wife Bridgette, Brynne Scott, and Kayla Landry; and great grandchild, Hayden Amy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Sr. and Odette Gonsoulin Broussard; brother, Harold “T-coon” Broussard; and sisters, Gladys “Coco” Berard and Elaine Newell.
