

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Ashton Joseph “Chun” Bourque, age 83, at 2:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will be follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 am until service time on Friday with a Rosary at 10:00 am.
A native of Catahoula and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bourque passed away at 2:52 am on, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Bourque was a member of the US Army and served his country proudly. He was employed as a truck driver for 18 years with Pullen Molded Products and Allen tank Systems for 15 years.
Chun enjoyed spending time outdoors at the camp and most of all fishing for catfish at Lake Dauterive. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne B. Provost and her husband Ronald of Loreauville; two grandchildren, Jan Judice and husband Jason and Adam Provost and wife Erica; one great grandchild, Piper Provost; one sister, Theresa Broussard and husband Cleve of New Iberia and two brothers, Allen Bourque and wife Patsy of Lafayette and Ronald Bourque of Catahoula.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Earline Landry Bourque; parents, Eymar and Cecile Theriot Bourque; three sisters, Irene Courville, Rita Louviere and Ruby Latiolais and one brother, Lester Bourque.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
