Debra Broussard Badeaux

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Debra Ann Broussard Badeaux, age 60, at 11:00 am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Garrett Savoie officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Debra passed away at 7:55 pm on, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Dauterive Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Nelson Badeaux, Jr. of Delcambre; her father, Lester Joseph Broussard of Lydia; two brothers, Michael J. Broussard and wife Shirley of New Iberia and Mark L. Broussard and wife Sharon of Lydia; two sisters, Sandra Broussard and husband Dalton Gary and Judy Broussard Landry and husband Barry Landry, Sr. of New Iberia; her special friend, Joe LeBlanc of New Iberia; her Godchildren, Liza Porrier and Whitney Murff; numerous nieces and nephews and two special great nieces, Leslei and Lilei Landry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Badeaux; mother, Gernice Marie Landry Broussard, Aunt, Esther Landry Touchet; uncle, Dupree Landry Jr.; grandparents, Dupree Sr and Bertha Landry and Felone and Marie Ida Halphen Broussard; and her niece, Mackenzie Elizabeth Breaux.

Pallbearers will be Mark Broussard, Barry Landry, Sr., Barry Landry, Jr., John Guidry, Jeremy Demet and David Stevens.
