Dianne a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the age of 81. She lived a life filled with love, generosity, and an adventurous spirit that touched all who knew her.
Born on December 10, 1943 in New Iberia, Dianne was a woman of many passions, but none greater than her love for family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children and grandchildren, always putting their happiness and well-being above all else. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, where everyone felt welcome.
A true lover of the outdoors, Dianne found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. Whether she was camping under the stars, working in her yard with a smile, or simply soaking in the beauty of the world around her, she embraced every moment with gratitude and enthusiasm.
Creativity flowed through her veins, and as an avid artist, she expressed herself beautifully through her work. Whether painting, drawing, or crafting, she found solace and joy in bringing her visions to life. Her art will forever remain a treasured reminder of her talent and spirit.
Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generous heart extended beyond her family to anyone in need. She had a way of making people feel special, always ready to lend a helping hand, a warm hug, or a listening ear.
A devoted animal lover, She had a special place in her heart for pets. Especially dogs and cats too any creature in need of love, she cared for them as family, ensuring they felt safe and cherished.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her daughter Priscilla Sugar, Son In Law Bernard Sugar, granddaughter India Sugar, life partner of her son Bobby Childs, Rodney Viator whom she considered as a son, brother Mark Saintes, sister in law Gloria Saintes, brother in law Johnny Johnson and wife Nancy as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold Saintes and Gertrude Edler, brothers Ray “Rayboy” Chauvin and Bernard “Benny” Saintes, Husband Ronald Broussard Sr, Son Stuart Simon, Grandaughter Lily Broussard, Godson Brady Saintes and fur babies Scooter and CoCo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, February 19 from 8:00 am until time of service.
A celebration of her life will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Kenneth Leleux officiating, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that she was.
Rest easy Dianne. Your love, generosity, and adventurous spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
