It is with great sorrow that we, the White family, announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Donnie Earl White, who passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 75.
Donnie was born on January 11, 1951, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi to the late Joe Hunter and Evelyn Lucille Jackson White.
Donnie was a strong, loving, supportive father. He strived to ensure his family was cared for. He was also a proud grandfather who devoted much of his time to his grandchildren who were his whole world. He spent countless hours playing, making jokes, and sharing stories with his grandchildren. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.
He dedicated his life to a long and honorable career in the oil and gas industry. His strong work ethic, dependability, and pride in his work earned him the respect of colleagues and friends throughout his career.
Outside of work, Donnie found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, cutting grass, or tending to his garden. His garden was a source of pride, producing an abundance of vegetables that he delighted in sharing with family, friends, and neighbors. One of his greatest pleasures was making his rounds, delivering fresh produce and spreading kindness along the way.
Donnie will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his family, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Kathryn Crochet White; four daughters, Alison W. Firmin (Andy); Candice W. Myers; Crystal W. Jeansonne (David) and Noelle White (Brandon Gary); four grandchildren, Ava Myers, Reagan Myers, Lincoln Jeansonne and Harper Jeansonne; two sisters, Sherry W. Jeske and Connie W. Louviere and one brother, Gary White.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Creel and two brothers, Lester White and Jimmy White.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11:30 am at Evangeline Funeral Home and will be conducted by his brother, Gary White.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home.
