Glynn was born September 25, 1943 in St. Martinville to the late Allen N. Breaux and Francis Granger Breaux. He passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014, just 2 days before his 71st birthday.
Glynn was a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard. He has worked most of his life in the oilfield, most recently with Production Management for ten years and prior to that Schlumberger for ten years. After his retirement from the oilfield, he worked with Stine Lumber and Ace Hardware. After retirement, he often visited with buddies at Ace for morning coffee.
Outside of his work, Glynn enjoyed camping, woodworking, taking care of his yard, and reading. But his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, and spoiling the grandchildren of course. He lived his life taking care of the people that meant most to him. Glynn leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Anne Courville Breaux of New Iberia; his daughters, Julie Breaux Robichaux of Youngsville and Allison Breaux of New Iberia; his son-in-law, Michael Robichaux of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Dustin Labit, Kabrina Breaux, Brendan Delahoussaye, and Paul Robichaux; 1 great-grandson, Eli Delahoussaye; his sisters and brother, Sandra Trahan and Gloria Breaux of Loreauville, Gordon Breaux (Debbie) of Lydia, and Aline Hebert (Wallace) of Crowley; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Julius and Euphrasie “ZiZi” Courville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Robichaux, Dustin Labit, Brendan Delahoussaye, Steve Trahan, Michael Leleux and Nathan Breaux. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Robichaux, Richard Thibodeaux and Patrick Robichaux.
