Gypsy Ward Hebert

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Ory Hebert, the former Gypsy Ward, age 82, at 1:00 pm Monday, November 4, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Downs of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am Monday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert passed away at on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ory Hebert of New Iberia; one son, Segis Meyers, Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Douglasville, GA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Meyers, Trey James Meyers, Aaron Meyers and Stephen Meyers; one great grandchild and her great nephew and caregiver, Terry Goodwin and Joe Cain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Cammie Upchurch Ward; two brothers, Wesley Ross and Arnim B. Ward and four sisters, Venus Ward Dooley, Laura Ward, Iris Crowell and June Ward.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
