A native of Franklin and resident of Jeanerette, Curt passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his residence.
Curt was a very generous person who enjoyed helping others. He was a tugboat captain for more than 30 years, enjoyed spending time on the water and riding his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his mother, Joy Bergeron Wiltz of Jeanerette; his father, Ray Curtis Simmons and wife Karen of New Iberia; one sister, Cathy Simmons of Jeanerette; one brother, Ray G. Simmons and wife Dawn of Jeanerette; one half-brother, Chase Simmons of New Iberia; nieces and nephews, Ren, Katie, Shea, Rhett, Carly, Kyle, Lindy, Christopher and Kamryn Simmons and his great niece, Amielle.
